How to leave an OnlyFans agency safely

Updated 6 minute read

The short answer

To leave an agency safely: check your contract for the notice period, give notice in writing, change the passwords and remove the agency’s access on every account, confirm your payout details have not changed, ask for a final statement, and ask them to delete the personal data they hold. Do it in that order, and keep copies of everything.

1. Read your contract first

Find the notice period, any minimum term, what happens to commission after you leave, and who owns the accounts and content. Our contract checklist shows what to look for.

2. Give notice in writing

Email the agency with the date you are giving notice and your final day. Keep the message calm and factual, and keep a copy.

3. Take back every account

  • Change the password on your subscription page and every social account the agency could use.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication on your own device, and remove any the agency set up.
  • Remove team or manager access, and sign out of all other sessions.
  • Check that the email address on each account is yours.

Our guide to sharing account access explains the access types to look for.

4. Check your payouts

Confirm your payout and bank details are yours and unchanged, and watch the next payout arrive. If anything has changed, contact your platform’s support team straight away.

5. Get a final statement

Ask for a statement covering the last period, showing earnings, the platform fee, how the final commission was worked out and what, if anything, is owed. Check it against your own platform statements.

6. Ask for your data to be deleted

In the UK you can ask an organisation to delete personal data it holds about you, and it must usually do so unless it has a legal reason to keep it. The ICO explains your right to get your data deleted (external site). Ask for your photos, ID copies and messages to be included. [VERIFY: current ICO guidance]

Accounts in your name, with your email, are yours. If an agency created accounts for you, check the contract. You should always be able to take back accounts built on your identity and content.

Usually only for the notice period and any earnings before you left, if your contract says so. Be wary of clauses that take commission long after you have gone.

No. It is general information. If your contract is unclear or the agency disputes it, get independent advice. [NEEDS HUMAN SIGN-OFF: guidance wording]
