# Fansly content and pricing

Checked against Fansly’s help centre on 25 September 2026

The short answer

On Fansly you choose what is free to followers, what is included in a subscription, and what is sold separately as locked media or earned through tips. Fansly’s help centre says you can offer more than one subscription tier, and gives a price range per tier of $5 to $499.99 a month at the time of writing. It also notes that many creators use a single tier or none. Test one change at a time, and check Fansly’s current terms before you set prices.

## The three layers: free, subscription and paid extras

- Free to followers: posts that show what your page is about and why someone should subscribe.
- Included in a subscription: the regular content subscribers pay for each month.
- Paid extras: [locked media (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/10544382-locked-media-ppv) sold in posts or messages, and [tips (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/12581773-tipping-features).

Fansly summarises these options in [getting started with monetising (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/12327468-get-started-monetizing). The balance between them is the main pricing decision, and it is different for every page.

## Should you use more than one tier?

Fansly allows several subscription tiers with different prices and benefits, and its [price limitations (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/10544441-subscription-price-limitations) article gives a range of $5 to $499.99 a month per tier at the time of writing. Its own [audience (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/12315291-your-audience) article points out that many creators stick to one tier, or none.

More tiers only help if each one is clearly different. If fans cannot tell what the higher tier adds, most will choose the cheapest or none. A common approach is to start with one tier, learn what subscribers value, and add a tier only when there is something distinct to put in it.

## Locked media and free previews

Locked media lets you sell individual posts or message content. Fansly lets you add a [free preview (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/12328711-adding-a-free-preview-to-your-media) to locked media, and its help centre says locked media without one is not eligible for the For You page, so previews affect discovery as well as sales.

Fansly sets a minimum price for media sales; check the current figure in its [minimum price (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/10544408-minimum-price-of-a-media-sale) article rather than relying on a number you read elsewhere.

Three priorities, in order

## Discounts, trials and timed posts

- Fansly supports [free trials (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/12327564-free-trials-or-lifetime-subscriptions); its help centre says lifetime subscriptions are not currently available.
- Subscription [discounts (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/12844495-how-do-i-offer-a-discount-on-my-subscriptions) can exclude fans who have already had a promotion, and Fansly says each discount is a one-time opportunity per user.
- Posts can be [scheduled to expire (external site)](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/10544502-scheduling-posts-to-expire), which suits time-limited content without manual clean-up.

Trials and discounts bring people in, but they often leave when the offer ends. Watch renewal rates for those subscribers separately, using the [churn calculator](https://poutagency.com/tools/churn-calculator).

## Testing prices without guessing

Change one thing at a time, for long enough to see an effect, and compare with your own previous months rather than anyone else’s figures. Keep prices broadly consistent if you also run an OnlyFans page, so fans are not pushed to whichever is cheaper. Our [content strategy](https://poutagency.com/services/content-strategy) work is built around this kind of testing.

## Fansly content and pricing: common questions

### What should I charge on Fansly?

There is no right price for every page. It depends on your niche, what you post and how often. Start with a price you can justify with what subscribers get, change one thing at a time, and check Fansly’s current price limits.

### How much does Fansly keep?

Fansly keeps a share of what fans pay before you are paid. Check Fansly’s current terms for the figure, because fees and payout rules change. Our [commission calculator](https://poutagency.com/tools/commission-calculator) lets you enter the platform fee yourself.

### Is it better to put everything in the subscription?

Some creators do, others sell more as locked media or earn through tips. Neither is right for everyone. Look at where your earnings come from each month and adjust from there.
